Barry Walters is a Democratic candidate running for the West Hartford Town Council. With years of experience in helping people, Barry is ready to go on day one. He is committed to delivering results for our community and ensuring that West Hartford remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family. Barry has served on the Town's Human Rights Commission and currently serves as a Town Council Zoning Alternate. He is the founder and Co-Chair of West Hartford Pride which produces one of the largest Pride events in the State of Connecticut. Barry works as Director of External Communications and Policy for a Community-Based Health Organization.

Barry is a 24 year resident of West Hartford. He lives in his "forever home" with partner of 27 years. Together, Barry and his partner are raising a son who is now 17 and has attended West Hartford Public Schools. In his spare time, Barry enjoys gardening, traveling, and listening to music. Barry enjoys spending time with his family and chosen family.
